you can use Component stringer and BZ_tools and Recurve( see plugins index )

      1 Draw your bean

      2 erase the face

3 select the perimeter an recurve

4 right-click/ BZ_ convert to / polyline segmentor

5 type how many windows you want, enter

6 erase one segment of the curve ( Component stringer does not work with closed curves )

7 select your window component and your curve then plugin/Component stringer /scaling: stretch

8 add the last window. Done

9 use the tape tool to rescale if needed.

Note: you may have to play with component axis to find the good orientation of the window.

      Have fun

It seems you Window Challenge is more a Mission Impossible. Shape Bender could do the job but only if you create a small gap somewhere in the curve and create a group of windows at least as long as length of the curve.

Otherwise it would seem your only options is un-bent windows placed on the curve.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.

I tried using the component stringer. It works fine in most cases until you get to unevenly oriented/slanted walls (e.g one wall is facing up, but the angle slowly changes, and then you have a wall that faces down slighty)

Im thinking that the solution to this could be a plugin that would:
Draw/Model a "pattern" on a selected surface or surfaces. The "pattern" would be assigned by selecting a component.

Do you mean your walls are not vertical?

Yes πŸ˜› Thanks, I ment the wholes are slanted in different directions. Each floor is different. This is why I think a "paint surfaces with component" could be very useful

In this case all your windows or most of them will be different.
Can you imagine the cost of this?

                    Good luck?
Maybe you could find fredoscale useful for this.

Perhaps you need to build the mesh and lattice it into windows - EEbyRails then LatticeMaker - one leaving diagonals and the other after manually erasing coplanar diagonals [simple selection tricks...]
I know the windows are not all the same width - but hey, this is a quick 5min demo... you have several hours to sort this perfectly...

THere is also a plugin called component onto faces wich could help you. You have to correctly position the center of the component though πŸ˜„

I dream about a simple free plug for SU doing that ! Waiting for it, I've bought the V4 next year.
