      Hi,

I was wondering if there is a free plug-in to model a mesh, more or less as the Sandbox Tools does, but for vertical surfaces..?!

      Thank you

Thomthom's VertexTools will do this - it isn't 'free'... but then again it costs very little !
Then there's Artisan that does more things and is a bit more again, but again that's relatively little... compared to what you spend on beer and pizzas...
If you are looking to do regular organic modeling then investing a little in these kind of tools makes sense...

...but I don't know how stable this is?

You can't rotate your horizontal surfaces after the use of the Smoovetool of the Sand Box ? πŸ˜‰

πŸ˜„ I sometime do this way, but it works only for single surfaces, as in a closed volume the sandbox affects also the opposite face πŸ˜’

Sometimes the Sculpt Tool will perform an action where Artisan will not. Something to do with the mesh.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
