Every time I create a vray linked material, it links to every face with that sketchup material.
What if I change my mind and want to change one of the faces to have the original SU material, therefore unlink it? Seems to me I can only change that material by applying to that face a different vray material, which is kinda annoying, since I use vray materials only for glass, water, etc.
I'm using SU6 and the first version of Vray.

so what version of vray are you using? The answer to your question would depend on your version.

NO, I haven't.. Told you I'm using the FIRST version of Vray πŸ˜„
Once I did update it, but it messed up all my scenes and models, so I installed back the old one. I was always waiting for couple of free days in my schedule to check it out again, but never got to it πŸ˜‰
Is that the problem? The newest versions don't have that "bug"?

The very first version has all sorts of oddities. The newer versions automatically syncs all materials. There is no link or unlink.
There was never any unlink though.
