I would like to have a pink one! I just can't imagine what faces will those big fans do when they will see such a beast in pink !
Meanwhile first good render in hypershot with postpro in photoshop !
Here i reduced a bit the brightness of the dirt map .
And here is the original render .
I haven't made any post processing so far(at least not that much) on my cars,so it is a new field for me .

A magnificent piece of modelling
-
Hello chaps ! Thanks for comments! If I stay more around this I will start to see every imperfection (already spotted a couple) . But well, next time I will try to make it better !
-
Incredible!!! My only criticism would be that the scene should be more in focus beneath the car, DOF thing.

Thank you sir !
I know what you are talking, unfortunately I had no image to match the hdri environment so I used the hdri only.

Gorgeous and fantastic 3d work!
You definitely are the master in this particular kind of modelling! A lot of useful information I can learn from your posts. -
Elisei,
I wanted to thank you for sharing all your wisdom and tricks on carmodeling!
I bought your SU-books and learned a sh*tload from you.I used Artisan for some weeks, when I saw your topic. I, the hero I can be, thought "I can do that".
After some failures, realised I should learn some more and bought your books. That was 1,5 week ago and this is 'your' result:

Thanks a bunch guys !
sh00ks- This model looks stunningly well !! Fantastic job ! I am very glad to see great models coming from great modelers !! Also thanks for buying the book !
I am very sure we all can learn from each one's experience, even if we can do it in our own way !Keep it going !!

Hi from Germany,
very nice job
One question: all this modells are meshes, right? I thinking about a 3D print of my modells (railcars, locomotives..) and for that you need real volumes, no meshes. I'm working with the pushpull plugin to change meshes to volumes but I have hard programm crashes if there are self-intersecting items (when the thickness of material is greater on the inside of curves than the radius of the rounding). Is there anyone here who works with real solids and can give me some advice?
Regards
Dor Sachse -
Hi !
The best to have your model watertight is to start modeling it exactly for this purpose .
Most of my models are kind of solid, with few more tweaks. As you said, when lot polys involved, making it watertight is a pain or even impossible .I recently modeled two trains and some traintracks and pillars for 3d printing, but knowing this I modeled them watertight from the first ! Also need to keep in mind, the scale, small details etc !
