World Political & Religious Discussions
-
Easy to see why some sites ban political and religious discussions after reading through both postings. Seems as if more was revealed of the individuals posting, than the subjects at hand.

er, welcome to the internet ?
(but we don't even need those kind of discussions anymore.. you just gotta look at people's locations to know their opinion on the issues.. NC = god made us & blowing up iraq is good.)

Yes, welcome to the internet. Heckuva first post. Also, it does one no favors to attack the poster rather than the argument, that's departing the realm of discussion and making it personal. This board is great because the discussions are most always kept to a cool headed tone. Starting out a thread singling out one user isn't cool.
I enjoy the occasional deviation from plugins, render apps and architecture. If I get irritated with someone's opinions on an OT subject, I go read another thread. Nobody is forced to read anything here, and when sensitive subjects like politics and religion are discussed one must accept the fact that there will likely be a post that will rub you the wrong way when reading such threads.

... Similarly, the universe doesn't require anything other than the fact that it is.welcome to another form of universe, that doesn't require anything other than the fact that it is

You know...it just occurred to me that sometimes being "rubbed the wrong way" might actually be being rubbed the right way.
Keep rubbing my friends!

We love a good debate, beats watching a render bake.

Not so easy to see. Don't be dramatic. It's just a democratic forum. More or less. Not like some others you may have in mind.
"But all this ease in our private relations does not
make us lawless as citizens. Against this fear is our chief safeguard,
teaching us to obey the magistrates and the laws, particularly such as
regard the protection of the injured, whether they are actually on the
statute book, or belong to that code which, although unwritten, yet
cannot be broken without acknowledged disgrace."
By Thucydides 431 BC -
Mmmm ... I understand that in polite circles, one never talks about Religion, Politics, Sex or Money! Maybe that's what I find so boring about polite circles

Remember that in this Forum we are 'in the pub' - where everyone talks about Religion, Politics, Sex, Money, Sport AND more besides !
BUT you don't find us banging on about such things [much] in the other specialized Forums, because there are 'rules of etiquette' there... but in here you are allowed to express earnest opinions/beliefs, provided you do not step over some vague barrier into Bigotry, Racism or other 'Nastiness', but then any decent person will recognize those when they see/hear them [although they perhaps can't define it precisely beforehand]... -
I do not fancy these political topics myself either.
There is a very good strategy however: do not read what you are not interested in. -

Yep TIG, just like in a real corner bar. I think the 'vague barrier' is not to say anything that might result in a slap in the chops
-
I just read, from above, this mention: “The universe doesn't require anything other than the fact that it is!”
But what about this verse:
“Now I (John) saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.” (Revelation 21:1)When will the world (and heavens) end?! On what occasion: the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Battle of Armageddon, the end of Millennium, the Judgment of the Great Day, the Great Day of His Wrath, and so on?!

i'm afraid the one i quoted those words from, might answer that question with quite similar words. either him or me, probably would just answer it with, "when it happens, that is the fact that it is".

The Bible describes precisely all those events (see above), when and how they will run, except the Rapture, which is an imminent event that can occur at any time, by surprise!

precisely in hour, minutes, day, month and year?
i aware of stages of indicators in scriptures. stages of signs.
could you please describe precise timing of those events? and their source, if you don't mind. -
Yes, “irwanwr’, “precisely in day, month and year”...
As for me, I am expecting the Rapture, so I will not experience Tribulation time, etc.Who does not expect the Lord Jesus Christ (the Rapture), will be part of
Antichrist guidence and empire. They will be able to know and check,
step by step, using the Bible, the rest of the history of human civilization. -

As for me, I am expecting the Rapture, so I will not experience Tribulation time, etc.i see. can you give me some of those precise dates and events accordingly?
whether it's worth for you to know or not, i do believe in Jesus. not the way you and others who followed Constantine invention and Nicaea affirmed do though.
have a good day reverend. -
@ 'irwanwr'. “Those precise dates and events” after Rapture, are detailed in Bible books like Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Revelation. If you do believe in Jesus, just read carefully and you will understand!
P.S. I'm an architect, not a "reverend"...
