Got it working this morning ty

the M2 install from within the program feature doesn't seem to see anything besides file folders and .rbs files. I went to my backup plugins folder to start getting some of the missing most used plugins back after the update from within sketchup and don't see zip or rb files with that tool.

The 'button-installer' only works on .RBZ files [which are compressed archives just like .ZIP files]. By default you will only see folders or .RBZ files in the browser that is opened by the button... BUT you can trick it into showing you all file types: type *+<enter> in the file field and all files will now show... find the tool's .ZIP file and install it, it will work just like a .RBZ file... NOTE: it will install any .ZIP file... so ensure that it is a proper tool-set ZIP and not one of your holiday-photos, as they will could be copied into Plugins folder too πŸ˜‰ Also note that picking any other non-compressed archive file type will generate an error...

I am very new to Sketchup (1st week) and also one of those annoying people that never says thanks on forums. I plan on being neither from now on. So on that note many thanks for the cleanup script

Zip file don't want to unpack, it says - "unknown format or an error in archive" tt_cleanup.zip 😒 (other zip files works correct on my pc)

i cant load cleanup properly. however if i create a separate folder with required ttlib, this plugin works perfectly.

Can you open the Ruby Console and try to use CleanUp? See if you get any error messages.

                              clean with last settings works

the first option in which the menu should come "clean..." doesnt work. no error messages. iget the same blank box

all the options accessed via the drop down menu are taking my command. the first one in which the black menu comes isn't working. what is the conflict?

                                        The window works as well?

Then it must be something in the way it was unpacked in your original folder.
I see that in the HTML list you have that you had a TT_Lib2 - 2.5.5.zip - what is the version of TT_Lib2 you had installed in your main plugin folder? The latest is 2.6.0 - and CleanUp 3.1.8 requires at least TT_Lib 2.5.8.

From the HTML list you sent there seemed to me some unusual files in your plugins folder. I saw several files with same name, but in .rb and. rbs format. Looked very odd. And there was a set of ui.html, ui.js and ui.css in the root plugins folder, which also looks very unusual. Normal convention is that any additional file is located within a subfolder. So I wonder if you might have a few rouge files in your plugin folder that might need cleaning up.

Btw, are you running Vista or Windows7? There has been some issues where files copied to the plugins folder has ended up in a compatibility folder - casing problems. In which case you should see a "Compatibility Files" button in Explorer when you browse the plugins folder.

I see you also have files such as:

                                          extensions.rb
                                          sketchup.rb

These are files that comes with SketchUp and they should be in the Tools folder. I think there might have been a time where they did come in the Plugins folder, but that's a while back. So if you have copied your plugins folder every time you have upgraded SketchUp you have dragged along these old files. And that means that SU loads the old versions you have in the Plugins folder instead of the more recent ones in the Tools folder.

Your plugins folder definitely needs some cleaning up.
