IMO the most difficult thing to overcome would be the mesh updating at the joints. Modo put up a video in 08 that illustrates it nicely at the 2:00 mark. Now if SU or a plugin for SU could do that then we are in business.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agO-QYArFloThat's exactly what I was talking about, if SU could bend the mesh without ripping it, we would be in business.

Ok organic surfaces that change and morph when the joints move is complicated, proberly impossiable, but if you not in the post my second video for download doesnt need this to happen, my concept is fairly simple enough leaving this alteration to organic surfaces out, my concept is only a start to animation, maybe in the future, lets say 20 yrs or more down the line they might just add organic morphing, lol

This is something i did last nite, simple animation

I know im using the wrong tool for animations but it can be done using SU, SU might consider making SU more friendly to this sort of aniamtions, i wouldnt say im stubborn, i just cant be bothered learning something like Blender to do animations, i like using SU

i wouldn't want to learn blender either
use cheetah 3D.. it's relatively cheap and while not exactly sketchup, it's sort of along those lines..
http://www.cheetah3D.com/[but i guess you'd have to get a new OS first ]
