[Request]Reset Interface or Turn all Plugins on/off
-
Hey Guys,
I was curious if anybody has come across any scripts or plugins that might be able to accomplish this function: Turning all plugins on or off, and resetting the SU interface back to the default (after install). The reason I ask is because I do a lot of training/teaching, and I'd like to be able to switch back and forth between having my scripts loaded (for when I'm working or teaching an advanced user) and unloaded (for training someone who needs to learn the basics before jumping into plugins). It doesn't need to be dynamic or anything, just be able to switch somehow. I've searched around but can't seem to find anything. Has anybody heard of anything remotely like this?
I'm planning on writing my own script for it eventually, but since I'm new to ruby code, that might take a while

I edited your post to replace [Plugin] with [Request] as the plugin tag is used where there are actual plugins to download.

Hi Matt,
It may be possible, but may require Windows Registry hacking.
Also, any Toolbars will not remember their previous locations after being re-enabled. It will be as if you just installed them all over again. If you only have a small number of plugins, that may be acceptable.

I think you're finding this plugin:

Hi,
There is a Terminal Command for Mac's mentioned in the Lion thread by Tricia [google team]
you type it in Terminal, then launch SU and you have NO plugins.
don't type it in and you have ALL your plugins.
An apple Script could do it for you...

Hmmm Very interesting. An enhancement for Macs but none for Windows? Usually the other way around.

[ ]That is for Maintenance release2 that's only been out for 1 or 2 days....
the terminal command works on other versions and doesn't require you to open SU/open RC/write/close/re-open SU for ON and then the same for OFF.
