      Hello my friends.
      I need your help.
I've been struggling for monthes with a problem concerning emissive materials.
Maybe one of you geniuses have the solution :
I'm trying to make some LEDs.
To do them, I use an emissive material.
But when I try to have them displaying a great amount of light, here is the result (whatever camera type I use : standard or physical) :

I so don't know what to do anymore... Apart from maybe eating my hat in anger and frustration...
      Help anyone ?
By the way, I have another question for the light specialists : if you place some LEDs against the edge of a glass (or PMMA) plate, this light will go through the plate bumping internally on the main faces. It will then come out through the other edges, lighting them (especially if they are frosted). I'm trying to make this happen through VRay without success... Is it a problem or IOR ?
      Thanks a lot advance !!!

In settings go to Irradiance map and up the subdivs. They are usually set around 50, try upping to around 200-300 and it should fix the blotchy light problem you have. πŸ‘

They also say that Emmisive materials shouldn't be relied on as a light source. Perhaps placing some small, invisible point lights just in front of the leds might help as well.

I find emmitters to cause tons of issues with splotches. I would not use them as a light source but only as a way to give a material the 'appearance' of being lit.

              Thanks Dingobruce !!!
Your solution seems to work πŸ˜„
The only problem is it increases the rendering time a lot... But that's anyway better than when I used VRay lights to make the LEDs dots πŸ˜„

Thanks for your help, and have a very good day.
              Cheers mate.
