Exporting views

Hello folks, feeling dumber than a box of hammers atm, I have searched plenty of sites before asking here, even downloaded a few programs from suggested sites like smustard, I am trying to save and export 2 scenes from Sketchup so I can do some colour work in photoshop as per a suggested process from forums. I have loaded these files into plug in folder as directed but cannot seem to get them to appear in sketchup for use ? any suggestions ?
Regards
Ray

Do you want to export a 2D image?
Because for that you don't need a plugin. Simply export> 2d> choose the file extension and in options set size and compresion.
I don't have CS5, but I've read that you can open .obj, collada, DAE and some other extensions and directly paint the 3D model. If that is what you want, then you need to export the 3D model directly as collada or with a plugin as OBJ.
I've never done that myself, but to use a plugin you simply open the zip and drop what's in it in your plugins folder, or simply put it there if it is a .rb file
Sometimes you need to make it active in window> preferences> extensions or in view/toolbars if what you don't find is the icon -
<hehe, Karina beat me to it>
Hi Ray, what's the question? Do you want to export some jpegs to touch in photoshop? You certainly need no plugins for that.
Go to the menu system:
File > Export > 2d Graphics > then choose jpg as the file type. There are also "Options" which let you change settings for the image.
Just go from one scene to the next, exporting images as you go.

Hi,
the plugin SceneExporter might help you to export in one shot all your scenes within your project.
have a look here.

Thanks to all who replied, Jean I must have done something wrong with smustard exporter I downloaded, seems to work now when I replaced file in plug ins folder with another download, I managed to export 2 scenes although the pop up menue box did not have any prompts about resolution size etc, still it worked, thanks very much, cheers all
Happy sketching one and all

Ray have you tried to export one without a plugin, the way Karina and I described? That is where you will get the "options" box, and it is not a pop up. you have to press the options button to see it.

As far as that goes, if you choose to export as an animation, you can choose JPG or PNG as the export type and, under Options, choose the image size. You'll get an export of every scene.
