Unrendered faces in Thea
-
Also in the export dialogue what hierarchy settings have you chosen?
-
SU-2-Thea 0.83 beta maybe that's the problem.. i assume there's a non beta version by now?
'Components as instances' is checked off.
I did not triangulate the cushion.. I assumed it already was?
thanks!

It's at 0.89 now and supports billboards and other items.
Try updating and let us know how you go? There is an issue with SU needing geometry triangulated on export.

Here's the latest...

Also check if your exporter pluigin is properly licensed (you do this from Thea) as non-licensed exporters work this "annoyware" way (missing faces here and there). I suppose (I hope I know you as much
) you are not using a cracked version so if it persists, ask Tomasz on the Thea > Integration > SketchUp forums. -
I had this exact problem when I upgrade from Beta. I don't pay much attention to their forums except DallasRT's thread. But Ioannis made me aware of this because I have a promotional licence from Basecamp.
That is the most likely fault with the textures. A screwed up licence on the exporter plugin.
Nice to see some Thea output from you!

there's a good chance that's it as well, gai... i had just got around to registering Thea this weekend, so if that was never done, the plugin was most likely not done either! whoops.. guess i should've realised this
thanks guys.. i'll let you know how it goes, i'm away from that machine for the day. -
Most likely you are using non licensed SU2Thea. Remember to enter you SU2Thea serial number in Thea plugins license form. Help>License Form...>Plugins.
@modelhead How SU2Thea functions when no license code is entered, is no related to Thea nor I feel that ideal solution. Plugin developers are independent and have each chosen they ways. Some do add delays, some plugins even will not work at all without license... If I recall right, you got the answer to your issue in same day as asked, so saying "no one even turned their head" is a bit...

Well as long as you have fixed it
you won't still be wasting peoples time....or will you just ignore it ?Like said, plugin developers are independent. If there is SU2Thea related issues, the best place for talk is here http://www.thearender.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=63 I am quite sure that Tomasz will hear your toughs, if you let him know that the protection theme against piracy is unsuitable. Honestly, if it was my choice, I would not use that kind of system.
Just a little note, SU2Thea does display it's license status at settings tab. -
anyway... that solved the problem. thanks guys.
