How do I make this waterside with vray/ps

Hi all,
This image is an example I found and am trying to copy.
I often need to make these type of renders where water and grass sidings meet.Is there a good tutorial for this? Is it mostly PS or good texturing/modeling?
thanks in advance for any pointers.

I think it's all mostly Photoshop. Maybe the water is Vray but the planting edge and refelctions are totally PS.
