Creating Styles
-
I created a new style and want to save it back to a folder called "Favorites". For some reason, SU will allow me to save the styles that came packaged with SU, but not my custom one. Am I missing something?
Thanks. Ben

Right click the style in your Style dialogue box and choose save as...

I did. That's what I'm saying. I can Save As all the other styles, but not the custom one I created. By the way, I created the one by Aidan Chopra in the July Sketchucation newsletter.

Are you looking at this custom style in the 'In Model' drop down?
-
Yes, I was. I did recreate it again and was able to save it. But now my question is, can a style change the camera view from perspective to parallel projection? Rich, thanks for your help by the way.
-
Yes, if you use 'Scenes' but you'll need to switch between 'Scenes' to see the change.

FWIW, I don't believe a camera setting is part of a style's attributes. I believe that is a scene attribute.
As for saving styles you've create, an alternative to the right click and Save as... method is to open the secondary pane. Set the top pane to In Model and the bottom one to the desired destination style library. Then click and drag from the top to the bottom pane. This works for materials and components as well. To open the secondary pane on the PC, click on the little white + on the black square below the down-pointing arrow in the upper right corner of the dialog box.

I was thinking to create a 'scene' for paralell projection and one for perspective. So you can quicly flick between both.
