What to Buy ?

Greetings all..

I'm looking into better rendering software, I love Kerkythea but need to invest in a new option or should i stay where i am and click the donate button on Kerkythea..

has any one done a fully detailed sumary of rendering software on a chart showing speed, value, ease of use, ect?

please send me link if said chart is on here some place..

Which rendering software you should get, depends on several factors. In no specific order:

your budget
your hardware
whether or not you need to add high-poly meshes (cars, trees etc) to your SU models
desired output: okay, good, great, photoreal
your experience/willingness to study
whether or not you use other 3D apps in addition to SU
your postprocessing skills
time constraints: do you need quick results or not?

There's probably more, but these are all I can think of right now.

My Alien Tower is due to be major up grade but wont be going Via Alien this time as i hate Dell with a passion.
Issues is i'm relying on my MacBook Pro to much to renders as this dual core AMD build just takes to long 3x

so what i'm having to look at is new pc Build with Dual Processors,

and Stay with Kerkythea and invest in Thea to, may as well invest in a product i know and dont have to learn all over again.

But if any one has done a timed test for products please share
