To import CAD text using my tool you need the CAD file saved as a DXF [there's a free AutoDesk file converter if you don't have CAD]... and then read the instructions about [temporarily] keeping the geometry and text dxf imports' origins unchanged, so the text stays aligned as in the CAD version...

Thanks guys making it a DXF is no trouble at all.

Let us know how you get on... perhaps in the DXF text thread... -
Hi,
So I finally got around to using the tool and it worked fine.
I have now tried to insert the skp in layout, it has imported all the lines but none of the text.
Any answers?
Thanks

The DXF's imported 'text' isn't Text it's 3dText which is geometry that looks like text.
It will import as 'geometry' [on layers corresponding to the DXF] - ensure that the layers are 'on' in the scene-tab used in the Layout viewport and that everything has been saved and the links updated across to Layout etc...
You really shouldn't be uses lots of 'Text' in the SKP if you are using Layout.
Layout has lots of Text tools of it's own that are better suited to this 'sheet' work...
