Disappearing Sandbox?
-
Okay, so a while ago the Sandbox tools just stopped working on my version of Sketchup (8, not pro.), and, after talking to several other designers, I have found that this is a common problem. I checked in the file source (C:\program files\google\google_sketchup_8\plugins, or something like that) and the sandbox source files are still there, but I don't have the tools, and I don't have an option to turn them on (I've checked in Plugins and in Tools (on the top bar) but there's no Sandbox tools). Anyone know what's wrong?
Cheerio,

Check Window > Preferences > Extensions > Sandbox is checked.
If that is OK then check View > Toolbars > Sandbox is checked.

Thanks man! It's working now!

Both checked but toolbar is still missing.

If you have not upgraded to the latest version of 2013 you could be suffering from the over-docking toolbars mess.
The newer versions of 2013 fixed this early glitch. What happens is the toolbar activates but it's docked in the topbar underneath some other toolbar[s].
Dragging all of these off so they float, then docking them as desired will fix it.If this is not the case... have you being using two monitors or changed screen resolution.
This can sometimes cause toolbars to appear 'off-screen'...
You can try using the Toolbar dialog's Reset on that just that toolbar ?
