A walking table is probably twice the weight of a conventional one, that you could easily lift and move, without the cleverly engineered 'walker' part being necessary...

But can the table walk up stairs?

I saw that table walking some months ago and recall thinking that it looks like he's working pretty hard to move that table. I'm guessing it wouldn't take any more effort to push a regular table with normal, non-moving legs. And wheels do make a lot sense.

Note that if you were to simply sit at that table, you might bang a knee or two.
