So... you lean over the table to get the ketchup and the table walks away from you !?

It will eventually evolve into Pinoccio.

A handy thing to stand on when you're painting the ceiling.

                I like the engineering element.

But it's application leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It's a very clever solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
A walking table is probably twice the weight of a conventional one, that you could easily lift and move, without the cleverly engineered 'walker' part being necessary...
It's a clone of Theo Jansen's walking sculpture designs http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=walking+sculpture+theo+jansen&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGGL_enGB408#q=walking+sculpture+theo+jansen&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=kWu&rlz=1R1GGGL_enGB408&prmd=ivnso&source=univ&tbm=vid&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=nQ2kTaaIGoeHhQe16cTPCQ&ved=0CCsQqwQ&fp=83fc84694c4dfb45 but they move themselves using wind-power etc so they are even clevererer... 😄

I don't even like walking my dog.

But can the table walk up stairs?

I saw that table walking some months ago and recall thinking that it looks like he's working pretty hard to move that table. I'm guessing it wouldn't take any more effort to push a regular table with normal, non-moving legs. And wheels do make a lot sense.

Note that if you were to simply sit at that table, you might bang a knee or two.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
