a really needed plugin.......i use it a lot for 3d sections...thanks a ton
P.S : is it possible to but a component into two diff components without opening it i.e., cutting any component into diff parts, so that to delete the other side of the cut line i dont have to open the component and delete that part.
that would be an added advantage
Not possible at the moment. Maybe someday.

Do you know where I can find and download this plugin????

Does anyone know why when trying to slice an entire model at a section plane or trying to do cuts it comes out bug splat error?? Is it maybe for the complexity of the model?
any solution will be very appreciated
thanks

Sorry I don´t find the way to make it works. Every time I try it, pops ups a blug splat error..Could anybody help me?
thank you all

I notice you both are showing older versions of SketchUp (6 and 7). In SU8, some bugs were fixed that result in less crashes for plugins like zorro2. Try upgrading to the free version of SU8 and see if you can get it to work without bugsplats.

hi I've tried everything, I have a relatively large model which I need to slice, but sketchup crashes after a few minutes of the slicing process. I've tried exploting it to almost having no groups or components (rather complicated task I must say) and it still crashes! Help, anyone?

This thread seems quite old but I'll add what I have found to work in regards to sketchup crashing when attempting to slice a model.
I tried to use the zorro tool on sketchup 8 pro with little luck, but then again I only tried a few times so it could very well be working now. I couldn't figure out what the problem was, and really didn't put too much thought or effort into it. That being said, I have cut some very complex models in Sketchup 7 pro using the zorro slice tool without problems, but when I would try to slice the very same model in SU8 it just would crash as some people have said on here. Anyway, If it crashes in SU8, try SU7 and if that doesn't work chances are it is your model and maybe the way it is organized/layered. Hope that helps a little, SU7 always works for me without fail, larger models can take up to 5 or 10 minutes sometimes, but in the end it always works for me. Awesome tool by the way.... -

indeed, I'll keep that in mind, zorro has recently been slicing my SU 8 in half - I'll drop it down to 7 when I need to now!

This is one of those scripts I only use once in a great while but when you need it, it's a huge time saver. Just used it on SU 8 and it worked great. Thanks,

Hello.
Trying to download the Zorro 2.0 plug in from the initial link listed, but having difficulty. It says have the option to open or save. Tried both yet laptop says that doesnt recognise the format in which to open the programme?! Does anyone know how to download it?
Regards,
Lauren

Hi Lauren,
The format is *.rb ("ruby") and you actually do not need to open it with anything but simply save the file in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 8\Plugins\
If you want to open it, it is actually a "simple" text file with this *.rb extension so use Notepad (coming with Windows by default). Do NOT use a Word processor like MS World as it adds some special characters to line ends and such.

Is it likely that the "bug splat" error will be corrected in the Zorry plugin? I absolutely love the plugin but it's always a challenge to make it work without too many "splats" :S ?

blug splat!!!! arrrrgh (banging my head...)
would be a most-wanted tool if bug is fixed on slicing a section plane.
