Most plugins are cross-platform (there are only few which use some PC specific system resources).

Which ones do you have problems with?

I do not know that plugin (a link would be nice - do they say anything about this respect?) but are you sure it only installed two files? No subfolders and such?

And where exactly did you copy those files on the Mac?

I dont think i can post a link because of copyright but when you click on the plugin called oak builder it opens a window where you enter the width and length of garden room so im thinking it may need windows because of the new window. Duno if this is right or not as im just guessing.

Webdialogs can be used on Macs, too. So where did you copy those files?

(A link to the product description or whatever would do it - it is really hard to stab in the dark)

If there's a webdialog interface there'll almost certainly be a folder of files and images in Plugins that you need to copy over as well as the rb/rbs file[s]...

out of an universe of literally hundreds –if not thousands– of plugins very few indeed do not work on mac.

Well, Nick sent me the link but I had to tell him that I am a complete scripting illiterate so unless it is a secret thing (which the website did not tell), he should post it publicly so that all who has some knowledge of scripting can chime in.

It did really say for Windows however (and there were links to different Win OS builds)

There are a few commercial tools where developers have only made a 'Windows' version... Without more info we can't take it further...
Why doesn't he contact the originators and ask them ??
You can't easily change a PC tool to a MAC tool if it's using Windows sockets, dll files etc...
