Plugin Request? Copy Along Path with Orientation
I have tried the current copy along a path plugins (the 1001bit pro & power bar) neither seem to hold orientation and what's more require a continuous line.
I would like to use this for copying symbols like electrical outlets and such among other things.

is it possible to do this already?

Component Stringer by Chris Fullmer?
Just draw number of segments where components needing
And you can resize, move , rotate all after drawing

I haven't tried this and don't have time to at the moment but if the symbol component was made to glue to a face, would that help? I've not tried that with Copy Along Path or Component Stringer. Do you have raised walls on which you could place such a component?

'Face Me' components keep their orientation in copy operations, although related to your view/screen. (try rotate/copy array)
%(#008000)[Use a dummy 'Face Me' component to 'copy along path' or whatever copy plugin/workflow you think suites you best.
Next select them all and replace with 'NON-face me' symbol component of your choice.
They now have the same orientation.(*)(*) you may need to orbit/tweak your view to get the dummy aligned correct in your model.
A preset little dummy face that you can select and 'Align View' to helps you to do so in a split second.
It's all just a few steps extra.]Although a choice to keep orientation in a plugin is usefull, no doubt.
