Thanks a million for the link! I have to build one. I will post images of my replication when it will be ready.

It is amazing that the cost can be so low. I haven't found yet an info how much is a cost of the plastic/glue used for a creation of models, but I can imagine it is relatively low.

The crazzy thing is the "replication" of the machine itself! 😲
Traditionnal 3D Printing will be killed in few years! πŸ˜’

The idea is great and progressive.. however RR2 contains a lot of pieces it can't print itself at all - wiring, electronics - chips, metal parts etc ..
But I love it. Just imagine - ones it could replace factories πŸ˜„

Yes, I assumed you guys knew about this already, so I didn't mention it. Otherwise I would have mentioned/ announced it earlier. 😳

For what you get is a bargain. You could even go into business selling 3D printers, because once you had one....... πŸ’

Don't even get me started on the possibilities for primary and secondary schools!! πŸ€“

Did you guys see my post on The Daily CatchUp about this thing? Isn't this wild?! You can even print another RepRap with it, at least with the v2 of it.

Thank youin the extreme for this link, Coen. My SO and I were talking about getting a MakerBot 3d printer, but were not impressed with the high price. This sounds like a much better option!

I have realized that some objects cannot be printed with this device.
A sphere for example. I would require additional support or plotting two hemispheres...
It most probably wouldn't be able to span a 'bridge' at the full available length of ca 19 cm (20cm-2*0.5)
Everything has to lay flat on the base. Organic shapes won't be achievable... it requires a lot of thinking prior to modelling πŸ˜„
