Function of Report Generator

I am trying to develop masonry shop drawings using Sketchup. When I first read about the SU 8 Report Generator feature, I thought it would add the quantities of each component (concrete block type). Alas, I find that instead of adding the quantities of a given component for me (the way "Entity Info" does) it gives me a single line for each component. So, in a job with 50,000 blocks, a report would be generated with... 50,000 lines of text to match. Not very helpful.
Am I doing something wrong to get this result?

ComponentReporter++.rbthat can be the basis to generate reports in various forms in CSV format - so for example it can tell you how many instances of a component there are in the model, layers, materials and so on... and much more. -

This is a robust report generator for SketchUp.
It is not free, but is very powerful - calculating extended costs, weights, areas, volumes, etc., drilling into sub-components, filtering our unwanted components and producing a report.
