Is there any reason to keep the .skb files after I'm done with a model?

I typically delete the backup files after each modeling session. What do you do with them?

Once you have 'archived' your skp off to some alternative media [e.g. your backup hard-drive] and you are no longer working with it then the skb is pretty well redundant and it can be deleted. If you work on the skp subsequently the previous version will become the skb if the option is still set to make backups...
You know if you rename a .skb as .skp it will become a skp with the last saved content?

          Yes.
At work I need to do server-wide search to clean up old .skb files from project that eats up considerable space. (and .bak files)

We too have an automated backup system that archives copies off every night and deletes .bak, .skb etc- Revit is the pain as it keeps full sized multiple backups with the same .rvt suffix [if you are not careful] πŸ˜’

Yea - the revit system is awkward.
I'm not to happy about the Autosave system in SU - too many people at work completely ignore the "Autosave_" bit of a filename and use that to continue working on. Make it very hard to know which files can be removed.
