BugSplat Everytime When Push/Pull
-
Hi All,
This attached file has been causing me nothing but problems!
I have imported a DWG for the floor plans and every other floor (5 in total) have been fine, but this one is massive in size and really slow in saving. Now when I try push/pull a wall, some of them work and others don't and I get the bug splat screen.
I have purged it and fixed problems but no errors come up. I'm really confused and frustrated by this file!
Thanks in advance

Although the file looks quite small in its drawn content, it is very large !
You have rescaled the component down by some ridiculous factor so it's the right size [1000s of meters!] - for it to work its geometry must be actually scaled [select it, right-click > scale definition].
It'd best to delete the steel definition first to avoid confusion and over detailing.
There are also some guide-points - probably miles away that are best deleted too.
It IS best if you use the right scale in CAD and then the Import options units !
Also it's best to reduce the original file's complexity BEFORE importing it...
Try Importing it with the same units as the DWG itself !
Doing a Save_as on the component works but it's reluctant to open - I suspect tiny lines in the CAD import that need fixing but Fix Problems chokes... -
Hi TIG,
Thanks again for your reply.
What I do is, draw in CAD in millimeters and then import it into SU but (as you know) I have to resale it. It's not like its 1000 bigger or smaller - its just massive!
Why does it do that? I use the Architectural template in millimeters - do I still have to use scale definition regardless?

When you import in SU you have an Options button in the file dialog. From there you must select the unit the imported file is it. SU does not detect the correct size.
