Why is it UNTOUCHABLE?
-
Hi guys.
I don't if i need a plugin to make my model working properly.
what happens is: i imported my model from autocad (saved as 3ds) to sk, but i cannot put on it any texture so when i try to get a pic, or to export it into kerty it doesn't appear at all.
I attach a pic for a better understanding.
cheers.

It looks good. It could be that it is not near the model 0,0,0 axis. If you could upload the model here it would be easier to test out.

also, double check the scale of your imported model
-
it is a really large file for attaching it here, or exist another way to upload it.
I don't know if the problem is about the scale as every thing is scaled in meters.
the biggest problem is about the textures, i cannot put them onto the sofa.
thanks for your help. -
looks like your couch or whatever it is, is only wireframe. is that the problem you're referring to?
-
exactly, that's the problem!!

The problem is it's not working !
'We' are only able to help you on the information you give us - as the file seems so big you can't upload it that limits the options...
Try deleting unneeded bumpf like 'Tsang' and then use Model Info > Statistics > Purge Unused... if it's still >4Mb then try to 'zip' it first ???
The size of Tsang in your image looks like the model is the 'right size' - but measure something like the wall-height with the Tapemeasure Tool to double check that.
It looks like the sofa 'cushions' have no faces at all - but did they in CAD, and did you set you import options properly etc etc ???
If they don't import with faces then you can't apply a material onto 'nothing'...

salvuzz0: did you check this? Sketchup have problems creating faces if they are too small.

ok guys, i am going to try to restart again, i mean, from autocad and etc. etc.
thanks.. -
You could try to save the couch out to a separate file and upload just that here. Then we can play with just the problem part.
