From a request in the Newbie forum.

Looks like an easy challenge to start the year off with.

Y'all know how it works, using SU only, show WIP and lines so we can see your process, explain all tools and plugins used.

    Have fun.

WHAT? I'm not even trying, I suck at making rounded shapes.
          Looking forward seeing your model.

they are a pain at first but after a bit of practice you learn rounded shaped are not all that bad. It helps to be able to subdivide there is a plugin here, or you can export to another 3D app, makes things a lot smoother!

I finished mines, it was a bit harder than I thought. I had to use follow me and intersect with model a lot here, the visor I had to use the move tool and the finishing touches with the scale tool. No plugins (except weld for ease).

This is not really beginner stuff, and the plan is not accurate either.

                          I included the file.

compared to the other challenges it is pretty easy! Nobody has put the vents or chin straps in yet!

The whole point is to make the model look like the plan...of course the plan is accurate πŸ˜•

This is my second shot with helmet. I used only FFD plugin to correct arc. This one is better:

Here is a movie how to create this helm with EEbyR Plugin.

anyways here's another try, only the skin without inner padding etc. made using sds and jpp. In the image there are 3 versions. The first is the proxy, the second is one iteration, and the third two iterations.
