Adobe CS4 and Windows 7- does it work okay?
-
Anyone here using Adobe CS4 with W7? We are having immense problems with CS4 in XP SP3, and can't work out why performance is so shite. All I can conclude is that somewhere along the line, some service update has ruined CS's performance, because it used to work fine. We are virus free, and the software is running on an Acer FH with a Core Duo processor (3 gig ram, 7200rpm drive, etc etc).
I've just suggested trying the same system with Windows 7 instead of XP, but the IT dept are nervous about shelling out for W7.
Anyone? Any takers?

Hi,
I've been using CS4 64bit on Win7 since it launched and have noticed no issues so far? It runs smoothly and startup definitely is faster. I had it installed previously on XP but the sluggish response made me revert back to CS3.
Need anymore info don't hestitate to ask

Hey Tom
I've been running CS4 on Dell 490 Workstation, 3.73ghx zeon, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 10gigs memory & Quadro FX 3800. I have had no problems. However I am not a CS4 power user.I can not recall any crashes or slowdowns while using CS4 on Win 7....Switching to 64 bit OS did wonders for my working applications. What kind of work are you doing mainly? -
Use it daily and have not had an issue.

We (my colleague Peter and I), use CS4 as part of the set up to a local community based magazine. Like most companies in the UK, we are still using XP, but I use a Mac, and am always taking the Mick out of Peter, because his PC keeps crashing. But in a cloud of rage today, Peter decided he'd had enough, so I posted this to ask if anyone had had a similar experience of CS on XP compared to CS on W7.
