Is there a way that I could export a sketchup file to revit? I need to add a diagrid on my structure.
      Thanks!!

Good but outdated info. Revit now natively imports SketchUp models.

The thing about the curved surfaces is that SketchUp doesn't have any, only smoothed facetted ones, so the facetting tends to become visible when anything is exported to another format.

If you import a SKP as a massing element in Revit you can then go through and change walls to walls, floors to floors and curtain-walls etc - it does work...

Really? you can import curved and double curved elements in as walls? last time i tried that, it made a wall out of every polygon instead of the whole thing.

Really? the last time I tried, i did imported a massing element which is a cube with round edges... It's there but I can't edit it. as if it was "grouped" in sketchup terms.

Do you know what to do? I'm using revit 2010 and sketchup pro 6. Thanks!

I'm not near a PC with Revit right now, but I have done it with Revit2009 - brought in a building and made the parts into Revit elements - sure it was via massing element rather than bringing in an object which is as you say a solid 'lump'. I remember that there were two ways and one of them worked - read Revit's Help on importing SKPs and Massing etc...

Yes, it was part of the introduction course I did for Revit. I don't rememeber exactly what you did though. But I'm sure it'd in the Help files.
