      hi all

Im looking for a good bumpmap for glass. Im modeling a refurbished old building as you can see and want to get distortion in the reflections.

      Thanks

Use a water bump, oversize it and make it a small value like .5

If it's double glazing, then between the two foils of glass is low pressure gas (Argon), or vacuum. That is why the glass surface is not planar but slightly concave. I suggest to try with this bump... I don't know how accurate is, but you can give a try. Don't tile it! Fit the image on each window.
                  It's a 16 bit grayscale PNG. I hope it won't make strips.

I did some experiments with warped glass before:

If you look at a building made out of glass you'll notice that each glass panel bulges, the distortion follows the frame of the glass. It's due to the different pressure between the inside and outside I believe.

inside and outside of the building? πŸ˜„ I hope that doors and windows are not so good sealed... Because who's sleeping there, might wake up with a terrible headache because of oxygen lack. πŸ˜„
