SketchUp edges missing in OS X not in Windows
-
Hi all,
I have a problem with SU on my MacBook.
When modeling always some edges remain invisible. It seems to be a SU issue because when I switch to Windows that problem do not exist.
I did a search in this forum without success. I found that others have the same problem, but no solution or explanation.
I apologize if I missed the solution. I'll be grateful if someone leads me to it.Macbook 1,83 Ghz Intel Core Duo 1,25 GB RAM GMA950 OS X10,5,7

Hi fernando. I have a similar computer, and experience something similar. It probably has to do with the video card drivers. If you switch to wireframe, do edges reappear?

Hi Santiago,
Yes, when I switch to wireframe the edges are seen. But they don't in hidden lines.
In another forum I was told to change the Video Card driver. (GMA 950).
So far I did not found where to download it. Intel page does not have downloads for Mac. -
Mac drivers are done by Apple and vendor (Intel, in this case). Turn off HW Accel for this card.

Turning off hardware acceleration should do the trick, just as Barry suggests.
I've found the following page from Apple really useful to see if a particular graphics card provides the necessary OpenGL 1.5 compliance that SketchUp requires:
http://developer.apple.com/graphicsimaging/opengl/capabilities/index.html
Since you're running OS X 10.5, it looks like the GMA950 only supports OpenGL version 1.2. On OS X 10.6, is supports OpenGL 1.4, which is better but not quite there.
