Isn't Import 3DS in Pro only ?
-
No, it'll import .3ds, .dem, .ddf, .kmz, .dae as well as numerous image types!
And if you use FBX Converter you can convert .skp to .3ds but it give erroneous results. Tried it a couple of time with mixed results

All the import options are the sme in the free and pro except dwg/dxf that was taken out of the free version when 7.1 came out (but they still have the importer plugin)

I found an old site that did race tracks for an old NASCAR Sim game. But they are 3d MAX files. Is there a 3DMAX to 3DS converter for free?
