      it would really be wonderful if we could create a dynamic component in sketchup (like we can make the dynamic block in autocad)

      it would save us a lot of time in modeling and also editing all sorts of house and building models, it would be

        I am not entirely sure what you mean, for I never used autocad.
        but if you want reference in models that are updated when you open the "parent" file... TIG has written a ruby script, called Xref manager. you can find it here

        the components are still saved in the model file (so the file size will grow nevertheless). but at every startup the script checks for updates in the referenced files and will ask you, if you want to update changes...
