Definite Kudos on the nice effort.Having run a board similar in complexity to
this one, but definitely!!! (not) in content,
I can only empathize and sympathize with your
latest efforts.Re: modifications... Ya really shun't say tings like DAT!
Now ppl will wanna see them put in place and cough working?Best of luck when and if you dare tempt the GODS again.
Perhaps an offering of a virgin first?

Well done, Coen..!! -
You (think you) are NOT an SU addict when β¦β¦ you havenβt noticed a thing about SCF being off line for a while.
Well, I noticed (β¦not going to tell you how many times ).Anyway, thanks Coen for your efforts and good job . Very very much appreciated, as for THE news letter!!!
-
Cheers, Coen.
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has computer problems.
Thanks for your effort,
Tom -
Thanks Coen!
Oh the joys of server upgrades/modifications. I approach them a fair amount of trepidation, fingers crossed, knocking on wood, a prayer or two... and a very recent backup.
I felt quite cut off yesterday without SCF.
With much appreciation,
Fred

Oh what a lonely day yesterday was...but I didn't freak: knowing Coen surely had already. Thank you, Coen.

During the downtime, I felt so ... alone ...
But I'm all better now.

It's so rare to find someone with your devotion and diligence.
Much admiration and respect dude! -
Don't worry Coen, every site (including mine) is down one day or another for some (most often ) a good reason. The only people who are angry in these situations are those who don't know how much work and effort it is to maintain a web site "in good shape".
-
Thanks Coen for your enormous efforts! Compared to my laptop that went belly-up on Friday, your saving the forum went fast!

and again (like so often in the last times) my thanks to you, Coen.
I am really looking forward to see the new main page. it is always good to have important info gathered in one place.
well, and if SCF is shut down for some hours, we will all violate our F5 keys, like thomthom truthfully said

BECAUSE NO ONE EVER READS ANNOUNCEMENTS!
You guys do announcements? Kewl. -
Coen,
Some ruminations based upon your post.
-
I pay for numerous design/architecture magazine subscriptions, each of which provides me significantly less value than SCF.
-
It is very clear from the previous posts in this thread that SCF is an important community for many of us.
-
I would like SCF to be sustainable, vibrant and stable and I don't believe it can be that over the long term unless those providing the service are compensated for their work.
Therefore, it seems like it might be worth considering some sort of subscription plan. I would be quite willing to pay a reasonable annual subscription fee to help put SCF on a sound, sustainable path into the future.
Just a thought.

Hmmm, have I thanked you yet for the countless hours of work you put into this site? I haven't, have I?
Dankjewel, Coen. Schitterende site. ("Thank you, Coen. Great site.")
