Nice model for a very interesting article. Part 1 is in the current issue. Can't wait for part 2 to find out how the story ends.

You could project a bitmap of a gradient 'through' the mesh... [image: fK47s8S.png] Then export an orthographic view as needed. [image: XRfRYti.png]

@davidheim1 said: Very nice job. I'm curious: How did you model the ball-and-claw feet? I cheated.

Changed up the textures on the desk to better coincide with the image of the original… put together a little test render scene. Twilight and Affinity Photo…. [image: wfYQ_McCobbdeskrender_2.jpg]

Very cool David. There's a fellow in south central New York State who runs a steam powered machine shop. He's been an inspiration.

Thanks Edwin. Sorry to disappoint but I don’t put my models in the 3D Warehouse. Thanks Rich. Have always loved his work and his catalog of designs is huge ! Can remember as a child in the 60’s you would see beautiful chairs and occasional tables in dentists, doctors offices and other public spaces. All designed by Juhl or another top designer of the era. Now you see crap that looks like it came from WalMart. I always wonder if things have really gotten better over time…….
