Guarda il comando sabbiera di SU è comodo e veloce. Io ho modellato un terreno di 20Km x 20Km.
Ti bastano:

1. file DWG con quote di livello (io lavoro un po sul DWG mi ricopio le singole curve di livello come polilinea)
2. Assegni tramite autocad (o qualsiasi altro cad) le quote a ogni curva (proprietà: elevazione)
3. importa in SU
   4)comando sabbiera (se non sbaglio è il primo della barra degli strumenti sabbiera)
4. attendi e il territorio modellato è pronto.
   Inconveniente è che ti genera un blocco ma non è un problema.

Se poi vuoi generare tu un terreno senza utilizzare curve o altro allora genera la griglia e lavora su questa.
