    • Photo Texture with Daum 지도 / Naver 지도 (maps)

I have a question about plug-ins. I understand the plug-ins help to make Sketchup more useful for individuals.

Is there a plug-in that allows me to use Naver Map or Daum Map to photo texture inside Sketchup?

If there is please share the link.

If there is no plug-in, is there a mod that allows other world maps, walk through engines, to override the Google map, walk through engine, for photo texturing inside Sketchup?

Beyond this being an individual aim, there are other countries that have far more walk through images than Google Map. Will all these maps ever work together?

I've included five screenshots below with comments. Both Naver Map and Daum Map have recent and up-to-date walk through engines for photo mapping. These two map engines are specific to South Korea.

Bottom line: Can I import Naver Map or Daum Map inside Sketchup to take advantage of the walk through engine to photo texture?

This is a screen shot of Google Map - photo texture options - in Korea. There are only two places for the walk through icon: Seoul and Busan.

This is a screen shot of Naver Map. The country is South Korea.

This is a screen shot of Naver Map and cities I want to photo texture. Each location is outside the scope of Google Maps.

Red arrow / White arrow: The Red arrow points at the walk though icon for Naver. The White arrow points to the walk through option along the side of the Naver website. The blue map shows all the options for walk-though in South Korea. Compared to the Google map, there are many more options.

![This is a screen shot of the Naver walk through. I've zoomed in close the same way Google works for getting photo textures. This is an image in Gwangju, South Korea. If you type in "Gwangju" in Google translate, it will translate it as "광주". If you copy and paste "광주" the name will have a Romanization spelling. But if you look at the third sign that says "광주출입국관리사무소" it translates as "Gwangju Immigration Office". Daum Map has the same images except most people use Naver.](/uploads/imported_attachments/oQlI_naverimagewalkthroughGwangju.png "This is a screen shot of the Naver walk through. • RE: Daum 지도 (map) to Sketchup

I'm in Gwangju South Korea. Koreans use Naver and Daum more than Google. I'm new at putting the ideas in Sketchup together. I don't know the workflow to do what is recommended above. If there is a good tutorial on Youtube I can find it.

Do you have any step-by-step guide recommendations?

    • Daum 지도 (map) to Sketchup

Hello, I am in South Korea, and I want to model my local city. However, there are no 3D models of my city. Also, there are no street level views of my city. All I can find are street level views of Seoul, Korea and 3D models in Seoul, Korea.

Yet, if I use Daum 지도(map), I can get 3D images of my city. Also if I use Daum 지도(map), I can get street level views of my city.

My question, can I import 3D images of Daum 지도, into Sketchup?

The goal is to model the local area using a different map resource.
