maybe the rendering programm can not interpretate a texture dropped on the whole component in the right way as if it is used INSIDE the component ?!?!

just one hint: if You try making stairs make a component for one "step" copy it and play with the component - components and scaling that`s the best for often used similiar parts

I want to add ( I hope it was not allready written):
If you pushpull a face connected to other faces and it starts to show the backside (blue one):
just press "strg" during the comand is still active and it will switch to the rigth side!

one way to connect to parts of a line:
make a line from the connecting point to any direction, then delete this line
now there is just one line left

thx for link, Gaieus!
I am totally surprised that people import from revit and vectorworks to sketchup -
that shows - sketchup is the favorit
well - I will download a trialversion for 30 days of vectorworks and make my own experience..

thx edson for feedback!
at the moment i am still producing 2d files in autocad export them as basic for 3d modells in sketchup and then back in 2d autocad for detailplans...
I heard that people who started to work with revit (or vectorworks) make all the plans by extracting them out of the 3d modell (and don`t want miss it anymore) (and also do the mass calculations like this..)
it is said that vectorworks can "read" floors walls and components from skecthup - that sounds perfect just I want to hear it from someone who did it allready successfully - cause i would have to buy vectorworks ...
thx bernhard
Hi I post here,
