%(#BF0000)[Dude!!! you just made my day!!! Its my bday today and this morning 4am when i connected to the internet i saw this message, and you really gave me the best bday present i could ask for!! Thanx thanx and another thanx! ]
yea we were talking about that so he suggested other apps to build more complex models...
to me...building a box is easier like doing 3 clicks and you have it...than building this in nurbs..
so it got me tickled...
lol i have no idea
listen guys... i want to ask something off topic here...
What programs are best to use and easy too, that can do a lot, to me i still think SU are the best to pump out models quickly.
i was talking to a guy and said its like working with an dinosaur and there is much easier programs to have build this. (using nurbs) Isnt it taking longer to pull points around? just a thought, i havent build many things with nurbs before...so its just curiosity thats getting to me.
Wow i would tear my head of if SU 7 introduces particles, man !!
these were my sources for building my rotors. (form the internet)
top
and the back
i used the tool skin for connecting the faces. the tool connects 2 faces and fill in the missing geometry between it.Bit of a time saver

Nice stuff! Thanks for posting the images showing each step in building the fuselage. Very informative. I probably would have extruded the fuselage lengthwise rather than from the profile. Can you share your thinking on that?
i have extruded the fuselage from the side and bottom, and there they intersected i sort of got the idea of shape. (btw, its my first attempt to build something else than buildings lol )
I have updated the first page includin the raw maxwell renders as requested.
thanx for the support guys
nice model solo! How long did it take to model the ship. Yea the hull i would think would be no easy stroll to model.
hi guys, thanx for the support.
tips and tricks, maybe youll all know about this already, i mirrored the one side, so its half of an component grouped together.
the parts that will not be mirrored and must be unique will be in that group. components save space. I think sketchup reads it as one boject..so having 20 of the same thing in groups will tkae up more space than having 20 of one component
Durant Hapke, nice model train. Its mindblowing to see all that build out of woood, really amazing
but to those who loved this..thanx a lot, it really means a lot to me
madllama : those last 3 images are photomerges. The helicopters are renders, with a little bit of dirt on it put onto photos i have found on the internet
i understand Coen.(sigh, you guys are really rubbing this in my face)
I did not meant it to sound like that, but merely that im back with another model. no to brag
Between step 6 to 7 i did a lot of work on one file and did not keeptabs on those days that passed, my bad.
About maxwell, i did not set up specail materials in skp, just named them so i can change them once they are in maxwell. I used maxwell studio to work on those textures till im happy and just rendered...the rest is basic photoshop work with the output file.
To all those ive offended, saying what i did not meant to say, ill re think my wods carefully next time...my bad
i'm also upset how you guys reacted about it, making me feel i dont wanna post future candy models. i'm only very passionate about modelling.
I do not go and say whaaaaa im better than you... i do not have a personality problem, just merely want to share something that is really close to my heart and inspire others to push their sketchup the limits
The system im using is not also a monster of a machine.
dual core 3.4 intel
intel motherboard with 667 ddr ram (2gb)
geforce 8600gt 256mb graphics card
But would love a faster machine to speed up rendering times hee hee
