Starting at the end of your questions...
SketchUp menu Windows > Ruby Console
Opens the Ruby Console - probably not needed in these less dire circumstances...

The SketchUcation toolset is clearly working - otherwise you wouldn't see the Extensions and Plugins Manager dialogs etc.

There is no "LibFredo" installed - otherwise you would see it in the Plugins Manager dialog, the Plugins folder's file lists [if you think it's installed where is it?] etc.
You could AutoInstall "LibFredo" into the default Plugins folder from within SketchUp using the SketchUcation PluginStore dialog - search for "LibFredo6" to find it, AutoInstall red button, then restart SketchUp.
OR alternatively, this link will let you download its RBZ, and then install it manually later:
      http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=LibFredo6
Then you use the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button to install it [into the default Plugins folder] - then restart to ensure it is fully loaded and integrated...

Restart SketchUp to see it has been properly installed [look in the SCF Plugins Manager dialog etc].

      Any more problems... ask...

Oh! forgot to tell you that I'd already D/l LibFredo6 and unzipped it into the same folder. I have no idea if I should do something else o it after that.

I can get a ruby console up per your instructions, bu it too is empty but does give me a dialogue box to type into.

      Yes .... so sorry.

When the program starts up the StechYcaton PlugtinStore box is completely blank. There is no way for the to use it to install anything or find anything, because nothing loads up in it, as you can see in my images, even after i click OK on all the messages about needing LibFredo6.

Should I just uninstall and reinstal SkechUcation Plugin tool again maybe?

Looks like you are in a mess. πŸ˜’

The ...AppData/Roaming/Sketchup/Sketchup14/SketcupManaged/Plugin is NOT a standard location - in fact I can't see how you got that ??
      Have you mis-typed ?
If you have made it then please remove it.

The default v2014 Plugins folder for each User is always:
      C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins
The Preferences > Extensions > Install... button always puts RBZ contents in there.
SketchUp makes it if it's missing.
It also copies any files from its 'Shipped Extensions' as it starts up...

With the SketchUcation PluginStore it is slightly different - IF you have an alternative folder set up in $: [other than the default Plugins folder, and Tools and Ruby special folders], then that is offered as an alternative destination, BUT if some rogue-folder has been added and it's not set up by a tool like Fredo's AdditionalPluginsFolder then do NOT use it.
I suspect that you might have installed a weird script that is making the 'SketcupManaged' path ??

In the Ruby Console type $: +enter - what is listed ?

In v2014 you should never need to 'unzip' and manually install files.

The "ProgramData" file path is a special folder.
It is only used if there are several users on one PC who want to share the same set of Plugins.
It is not used on a normal user setup.
All Plugins should normally go into the Users Plugins folder...***
If you do have a Plugins folder in C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014 then that is automatically added by SketchUp to $:, and any files in it are loaded.
It is then offered as an alternative destination by the PluginStore AutoInstaller.
However, I suggest you don't use it.
***Move all of the Plugins into the C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

Please provide a screen shot of your default Plugins folder contents etc...

You are making this much harder than it needs to be πŸ˜•

Some Plugins like Fredo's and thomthom's rely on a 'Lib' of helper files.
      These Libs are installed separately.
So, if you have installed a new Fredo tool, then it expects a compatible [newer] LibFredo - hence the warning to get the latest one.

      ====================================================================================================
Thank you very much for replying so quickly. Sorry that I could not return the favor. Phone ringing off the hook here. πŸ˜›

I restored the plugins to the original place. It was in the destination folder you wrote out. I just skipped the user name stuff, as i figure that was pretty generic in purpose - sorta like saying http:// or even www. nowadays to rant off a url. So sorry for the confusion.

So, here are some images to show you what's going on:
      http://postimg.org/gallery/2999t5umw/8f218c1a/

As you can see, the plugin store still doesn't work, nor does it recognize the installation of the LibFredo6 tools, When i try and re-install them it says its already there, so I'm sure its in that folder. the same with the four Fredo tools, but I think the prob, with not recognizing the installation of LibFredo6 is why its doing that.

I'm familiar with Ruby as a code base, but not done anything with it. so have no idea how to bring up a ruby console. Sorry.

That's all I got to give ya. Hope that's enough to help out and figure out what I've wiffedup here.

      Thanks!

    • Sketchucation Plugin Store Window is Blank

I've been working with Sketchup for a few months now and have yet to get it to work. When i go to shop for plugins its window has always been blank and I'm not sure why.

When I installed plugins it chose to go to AppData/Roaming/Sketchup/Sketchup14/SketcupManaged/Plugin.

I've been installing plugins there, but I don't think they are running correctly, as the sketchucation pluginstore is still blank. I have always gotten an additional message saying I needed the LibFredo install to make things work upon opening up Sketchup, but ignored it, as I'd been successful installing other plugins into the folder in AppData/Roaming/Sketchup/Sketchup14/SketcupManaged/Plugin.

Now I'm needing to use one of the rotation tools, but nothing was showing up when i searched the extension manager. So I thought I might now need the LibFredo, and also wanted to install some of those plugins to play with.

I got the message saying I needed LibFredo 5.2 or higher and read it was required to install to make all his plugins work.
Manually unzipped all the plugins and threw them in the same folder all the others went to before: AppData/Roaming/Sketchup/Sketchup14/SketcupManaged/Plugin folder

This time the message said I was needing Lib Fredo 6 installed and only four out of the seven Fredo plugins showed up in the Sketucation plugins manager.

Thought about moving all the plugins folder to the origin of he Sketchup install, in Program Files, but read that would not be good, as that folder limits permissions.

The person sayign this suggested moving the Plugins folder to Program Data, which I did, but now none of the additional plugins are showing up at all. All it sees are these:
      su_advancedcameratools
      su_dynamiccomponents
      su_sandbox
      su_webtextures

I'm sure my set up is just totally wiffed up. If anyone can help me I'd be willing to collaborate using join.me or Skype screen share to ferret out what I've done wrong and why SketchuCation's tools for easy install and the plugin store itself won't work through Sketchups program.

      Thank you very much!
