And I will be first of the last to comment. Amazing renders. The Fryrender really loves you, no doubt. Beautiful images.

RE: KT 2008 Echo Edition Teaser!!
Glad we agree on this.

Also this guy in the tread http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=4199&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30
is not doing any favours to KT. KT is much more powerfull and better soft than he is presenting it there.Coming back to the main issue. New KT looks quite good with all these new stuff. Can you tell us a bit more about new material editor...maybe screen grab of the new editor.

RE: KT 2008 Echo Edition Teaser!!
That is exactly my point Frederik. It all depends on the presets. This guy uses special preset to render exterior images in less than 10min. Normally ordinary user would use standard one and it could take 40 minutes. So we should just stop these comparisons as they are fruitless.
As far as that particular scene again I bet you this guy can render it in seconds. -
RE: KT 2008 Echo Edition Teaser!!
Sorry Frederic but these comparison are biased. They actually do not paint the good picture. Look at this render on the Vray forum.

Now that render took less than 10 minutes. How do I know is because i know the artist. Now compare that little pot and complexity of that scene on the Vray forum. -
RE: Rendering software comparison
Can You post your model. I would like to ask one of our masters to render it.

RE: Rendering software comparison
This is completely irrelevant. How can you say similar amount of set up time. Podium works within SU and KT need to import scene from the SU. Same thing apply to Vue....
Also it all depends on presets. I don't know which one you used for the Podium and how does that compare to any other presets of other render engine. I am afraid this does not help as paints distorted picture. You say the best light was from Podium and KT. That KT image looks washed up (consider it a bad render) and Vue in mu mind looks better. -
RE: Laica "space puppy"
Ground control to major Tom ....that red is really yummi;)

RE: Cookie cutters
Congretulations Jason... A lot of rendered nappies for you coming this year.

-
RE: Troubles with antialiasing
I am not KT specialist but it is all due to your settings IMO.
-
RE: New settings for su-podium
Majid could you please post this at the Podium forum as well. Surely some people who do not frequent SCF would appreciate.
