    • Building new entity on old

Hi. Probably not a new topic... I have a flagstone patio that is now a group or separate thing anyway (component? entity?). I want to use SU to build an arbor on top of that flagstone, but I want the arbor as a separate entity (is that the correct terminology?) so the two do not interact, so I can see the patio for size and guidance while building the arbor, and so that when the arbor is complete I can make it a separate entity moveable and sizeable on its own independent of all other things(components?). Thanks.

    • RE: How to install plugins

Thanks to all. I got it. Deleted all those original files and zips, then re-downloaded. Win7 does not like to extract from/to the same location so I extracted from "Downloads" to Plugins and everything seems to be working fine...at least no error messages. Now to practice and learn to use. Thanks

    • RE: How to install plugins

      Thanks Gaieus
I do have beziersplines coming up on SU now, except that when I open the program I get a notice:

      Error Loading File ZLoader__Curviloft.rb
no such file to load -- LibFredo6.rb

I downloaded the LibFredo6 file but guess I don't know where it belongs -- even after I moved it to SU Plugins folder I get the error message.

And Curviloft -- I'm at a loss there, too. Do I just delete and re-download?

      many thanks for your help

    • How to install plugins

OK, the question suggests I'm pretty new at this. The answer is yes. I'm making big progress and starting to add plugins for specific issues. First one WELD downloaded to my download folder, I moved it to the SU8 plugin folder and when I opened SU, there it was under Plugins. Same with CurveShearing. But not so straight-forward with others: bezierspline.rb (I downloaded, right clicked to Open, then moved all those files and folders to SU Plugins -- nothing happened and the plugin did not appear on the toolbar). Also recurve, revertcurve and utilities and a few others that either came with the main SU program download or I downloaded and copied to SU Plugins folder....none of those appear in the Plugin toolbar. What do I need to do, or undo, or re-do? Thanks for your help. ScottR
