Nice render. On the other hand, I do not care if my render is "something special", I need it to communicate and require predictable tools. Su is pretty good at what it does, and a quick, simple render (lights, a little bump and shine) is a plus most of the time. If however I have to spend a lot of time, fine tuning a rendering, I would miss a lot of deadlines. My decision of renderer is made accordingly.

Now I am sure the priorities are different if you are a professional renderer, like Solo.

If you set the profile thickness to 1 (which will equal to the edge thickness) than there is no purpose of the profiles at all - in this case you can even uncheck them totally. This would even enhance the performance of SU eventually (especially with bigger models of course).

It finnally painted the tongue! YAY! I went to check if there was another surface like tobobo was saying there might be. I deleted it noticed that there was not another surface so I undid and tried to paint it one more time. Then it finally popped it in. Maybe it was a glich or it didnt work lol. Anyway I really appreciate all the help you guys have helped me with. You guys R Teh Awesome! 😄 Thanks a bunch!

I tried your hidden geometry. And I think I just messed up on building it. Must be my latches are not made right because I painted them white and now the entire door is a solid white which is what i wanted in the first place. But as soon as I paint the latches grey it makes those lines. So I figure ill remake the latch and try again to see if it does the same thing. Really appreciate the fast response!
