Just for fun (I lead a quiet life) I decided to overlay the Podium render on the SketchUp image export. The attached image is the result. I used Xara Xtreme vector illustration software to do the compositing. The resulting image was then opened in Microsoft photo editor and slightly sharpened + given a light sandstone texture. I think the result looks fairly presentable for the small amount of effort involved - looks like a tight watercolour eh? Regards, Ross [image: iI0G_custom-gradient-sky-test-podium-overlay.jpg]

Thanks mates! I'm truly moved by the songs Ross. Superb. I'm 33 today. I have celebrated middle age by buying a shed. There is something very comforting in having your own shed. My girlfriend got me a card that refers to my lack of hair, it says; The Hairs Speak: "Let us abandon the head of this man and leave him with a shining Dome of Glory, for people will respect his newly wise appearance as we migrate to other regions of his strange and naked form"

Very cool Ross, but you say it's an old model; what is it a model of? I like what you did here regardless.

In my younger years I used to share a house with some other mates. Things went great, they had their parties and fair share of women suitors. One lady, in specific, caught my eye (let's not mention she was a swimwear model at that time) but I never thought anything about it because she and my friend had stuff going on. So about two years later in another town (an hour's drive from the previous) I was sharing a house with some mates again. One morning, as I was on my way out to work there is this knock on the door. I open. o_O There she was standing, in front of me. I was like, WTF?! It turns out she had some stuff going on with one of my (now other) mates. That was very unsettling to say the least. Small world we live in.

That's a great update Eric! I'm currently at about 35 pounds lost in eight weeks. That works out to an average loss of 4.375 pounds/week. My jeans are noticably more loose. The other day I had to punch a new hole in my belt so it could continue to keep the pants up. I'll have to look for that Bob's Red Mill "Mighty Tasty GF Hot Cereal". I'll give it a try but only in small amounts as I'm trying to avoid eating corn products. Regards, Ross

Eric -- Each time I make a cup (or pot) of Rooibos tea I put the spent teabag in a cup of water and put it into the fridge to chill. Then later I'll toss the bag and enjoy the chilled tea. For me it isn't as good tasting an ice tea as the fruity Celestial Seasonings ones but it is refreshing & I know I'm getting as many antioxidants from the tea bag as possible. I'm making a pot of Rooibos right now for my father --- I want to see if I can hook him so he can forget his regular tea for this healthy one. Regards, Ross

The big shiney thing is a Bass Horn. The speaker is inside and the curved shape forms a "folded horn". the others are straight horns with a speaker driver at the rear. There are four horns going from low to high frequencies making it a 4 way speaker system. Each would have it's own amplifier which I assume are valve driven as audiophiles love valve amps. Valve amps distort in the 2nd harmonic which the ear can handle (the Marshal stack that goes up to 11 ) - transistors distort on the 3rd harmonic which the ear doesn't like. Hope this helps cheers john

Just a nice balmy 28c here in Queensland, AU. For the first time in a long time we are having a nice typical subtropical humid summer. For many summers its been to hot and to dry, maybe climate chance is going to work in our favor. I am just loving it at the moment. He Ross, I see you have switched to a Mac, congratulations in order, but what happened to your beloved Xara. I haven't looked at their site for ages. Do they have an Apple version now at last.
