    • Rooibos -- South Africa's gift to good health...

Most of us know antioxidants are important to good health. Super-foods like blueberries, pomegranate, cranberries, and green tea are well-known sources. Less known is Rooibos tea which has 20x the antioxidants of green tea. Furthermore it is caffeine free and very low in tannins. (Tannins, common in most teas, impede the absorption of some nutrients). What is also unusual about Rooibos is it has a sweet taste - without any calories. A cup of Rooibos tea tastes like it has a spoonful of sugar in it. It therefore is very satisfying to people who have a bit of a sweet tooth or who find most herbal teas too bitter to drink without added sugar.

It comes from a plant that grows only in one region of South Africa. The leaves are hand harvested in a sustainable way.

In our local grocery store we found 'Tetley Rooibos Vanilla Herbal Tea'. It is a very nice product. We imagine many coffee drinkers would like this tea as it makes a rich flavourful cup. We drink it black but it does taste good with milk. Celestial Seasonings also are selling four or five Rooibos-based blends.

Please check it out and see if you like it. Get all those antioxidants you can!

I don't know about you all, but this is the first place I go to every day after checking my mail and the news.

Gidon, you need to get your priorities right! ๐Ÿ’š

There has definitely been a significant slowdown at the official SketchUp forums. Lately some of their forums can go a day without any new postings. I have noticed that over there the numbers of non-posting "guests" remains fairly high so there are still almost as many people checking the place out as before but less actual participation. I have noticed those forums have been offline a few times this week - it seems about 1/2 hour or so at a time. Maybe that relates to Google working on transfering over to Groups. Maybe we'll see the new Groups soon.

SketchUcation seems to me to be holding steady. There are currently 602 members. It might be interesting to see how much that changes. The problem for its growth is its hard to get the word out. Initially it was mentioned everyday over at the official forums, now it is mentioned less frequently. Google's new official SU Blog does provide a link to SketchUcation. That was nice of Aidan (the Google guy behind the blog).

Granted, Norton isn't annoying but everyone else is. Soon you'll be wish'n Norton had continued to be the only annoying thang...

I wish Gaieus would make more postings about things archeological! (Part of the pleasure of visiting here is being exposed to the work of different professions and friends of different cultures).

Granted. Sorry but to achieve the reduced carbon footprint the engine had to be removed.

I wish the big wind blowing our way would change course. Here's what the weather channel says about it:

SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 90 KM/H TONIGHT AND SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS GUSTING TO 120 KM/H EARLY SUNDAY.
DANGEROUS POST-TROPICAL STORM NOEL WILL APPROACH NOVA SCOTIA TODAY AND TRACK ACROSS THE BAY OF FUNDY TONIGHT REACHING THE GULF OF ST LAWRENCE SUNDAY MORNING. THE MAIN THREAT WITH THIS STORM WILL BE POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WINDS..HEAVY RAIN AND POUNDING OCEAN WAVES. GUSTY EASTERLY WINDS UP TO 90 KM/H WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING. WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTHWEST WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 120 KM/H SUNDAY MORNING. THESE WINDS COULD LEAD TO DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES LEADING TO POWER INTERUPTIONS AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO ROOFING AND CLADDING MATERIAL ON SOME HOMES. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 50 MILLIMETRES ARE EXPECTED OVER THE PROVINCE. THE RAIN WILL QUICKLY TAPER OFF SUNDAY MORNING. RAINFALL MAY CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING IN PRONE AREAS..ESPECIALLY WHERE LEAF LITTER CLOGS STORM DRAINS. 5-METER WAVES ARE EXPECTED OVER THE GULF WATERS..EROSION OF SOME BEACHES IS LIKELY. HIGH WATER LEVELS ALONG THE NORTHUMBERLAND STRAIT ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT.

Five metre waves and 120km/hr winds are not a good thing. ๐Ÿ˜

Okay Granted! But to reduce your carbon footprint you move to a tiny cabin far off the grid. Living in your woods your Tesla can't be recharged so you use it as a guest room for when unexpected visitors drop by.

      I wish you the best!

Granted, but you soon discover that grass isn't really greener on his side of the fence. Within a week you'll be longing for your old life back. It is afterall your life.

Granted. Now you do give a damn, but you can't figure out why you care so much about everything and anything. Others call you 'anal-retentive'.

Granted, but your beer is only an American brew. (Ha,ha,ha -- Get it? You can't have a great Canadian or European beer, you poor sod, you have to drink American beer). ๐Ÿ˜‰

I wish I hadn't written that "on purpose" thing. I don't want Guite feeling worse.

Granted but now that you can only see the 'big picture' you have to be promoted to 'upper management' because you can no longer produce any work. Seeing the big picture as you do, you find life at the top very pointless and consider suicide. You spend most of your waking moments wishing you were once again detail oriented.

I wish my lawn tractor hadn't ran out of gas. The lawn is only half mowed (Oh the inhumanity!) and I haven't had time to go get more gas.

Granted - you come to realize you don't really need a new digital camera and the urges you had for getting a new one soon pass. In fact you realize you don't need any 'stuff' when you have your family, people you care about and who care about you. All the material possession 'stuff' just take attention from what really matters.

I wish I could take my own advice.

Granted, but sadly your reading while driving causes many accidents. Together you win an award for being the worst drivers in America. You even beat out the drivers who 'text' on their cellphones, the ones who put on makeup, and the ones who watch porn dvd's all while driving.

Granted, but you get a nasty skin infection from the cat and the jealousy from the women soon is replaced with even more loathing than usual. Shunned by your coworkers & society you decide to live a feral lifestyle like the cat. You move into a cardboard box at the park and spend your days up in a tree.
