I have now sorted out the location thing - so that's all fine.
But...
It turns out that the model is not identical in size. Is there a way that I can stretch it to a specific size. I have two dimensions - the height to the "hub" of the turbine and the length of the "blades".
Thanks, Ringo

Placing a model downloaded from Warehouse onto Google Earth
Hello,
First time poster here.
There is a proposed wind turbine farm being proposed near me and I am keen to get an idea of how it will look. I have found a model of a turbine on 3D Warehouse which is virtually identical in size. I have downloaded it and want to place it on Google Earth. I must stress that this is not to be published - it is purely for my own viewing/interest. I am not stealing the creators hard work - I am just "borrowing" it for my own short-term use!
When I try to add it to Google Earth, it is placed by default at the location of the original (in Lowestoft, UK). Is there any way I can make a copy without the location info and therefore drop it at the location near me (Cambridge, UK)?
Many thanks,
Ringo
