I think the attack on Chip over at the SU Community was irresponsible. It shows that SU management feels threatened.
Do you have a direct link to it? I didn't find it when I searched through the thread.

Does MS Physics work with SU 2019?
I get error messages when loading it.
I have a question about how to correctly export DWG with materials from Revit to SketchUp.
My tries have only got parts of the model with materials and no textures are exported.
I havent found any info about the correct procedure, only that it now is possible.
Select the edges you want to hide. Right click and choose Hide.
Have you considered a eGPU?
I have a laptop with egpu and its great to use for gpu rendering.
This is the one I have.

Try running SU 2016 without plugins. If that works copy half of the plugins and restart. If that works try with the other half of plugins and so on. That way you can nail down if a plugin conflict is causing the issue.
I just bought Chip Walters Blender video course and so far I'm enjoying it.
Much info in a short time so I'm sure I have to go back to remember everything.
Recommended.
Right now there is a reduced price also.
Thanks, but isn't the latest install always available in the download page?
Is the license somehow crippled to not work with installs after maintainence expired?
I have a personal pro licens with maintenance that ends in April.
If I decide not to continue the maintenance what will it cost me if I do decide to upgrade in a year?
Also, will bug fixes be downloadable still?
If anyone is interested I tried with this code and it's almost instant.
#Redraw to update the DC
dcs = $dc_observers.get_latest_class
dcs.redraw_with_undo(cinst)
I checked with the Wayback machine back to 2015 but the files seem to be gone there as well.
You could perhaps try with even earlier backups.
If it's made by the Boundary it's most certainly animated and rendered in 3dsMax as they model in SketchUp but render in Max (with Corona).
No one knows anything about this?

SU is as good as it's going to get without totally redoing it from the ground up, plugin authors are the only reason I'm still using SU it's is no longer my only modeling app, C4D has been added to my toolbox and it is powerful and evolving at a greater rate than SU with tons more bells and whistles. If this is the new normal I see myself using SU less and less as it's becoming a bit of a dinosaur, and I dislike renting software
When reading about Adobe acquiring Allegorithmic some think C4D is next on Adobes buy list so you better prepare for subscription there as well.
Yes it was via the license manager and yes it start with a U.
How do I get the verification code? Is that the one they will email soon because I couldn't see anywhere to request it.

My checkbox is grey.
I'd guess that simply means you haven't taken up the option of a subscription or classic license. So at the moment you are running a trial version.
Once you add a license the welcome screen option will become available, just like past versions.
I haven't got a new license yet. Well, I got an upgraded serial ( or was that one for 2018?) but I also need a verification code. How do I get that?
