It happens when you're created a Vray linked material from an SU material and then later you deleted the original SU material so Vray can't link it to it anymore. The solution is simply to have a look at Vray's material list and delete any that are linked to deleted SU materials.

Hi bros, this is my first work so i would like you to comment as much as possible... i think the rendering tme is very high (about 1:30h)and the result is not so reallistic... besides, there are some white spots in it that i don't know what are.... i've used vray!

guys, another problem just popped up... sometimes when i purge my materials and i hit render, a message comes telling that kind of a native material is missing............ and it take a very long time to just start rendering...... why is it happening????
i've purged everything in my model and the file size reduced from 30mb to 6mb...

thanks guys, i've never worked in 3DS, only to export models that i got on the net, so i really don't know how to scale for exemple, but this is a sketchup forum so i will try it myself. if anyone has more information about the broken pieces and some way to solve this, i'd aprecciate.

i'm having a problem importing 3DS files into sketchup. thing is that they come exploded in a way that looks like a puzzle!!! these 3DS files are exported from 3Ds Max 9 32-bit, if this has anything to do...

thanks bro, that wasn't my problem, but i've reached the solution anyway... i had to go to window>preferences and uncheck "use hardware aceleration" in openGL. that resolved my issue. thanks anyways for such quick answer. it was my first post, so i really apreciate that.
hey guys, i'm new on this forum and i am having some problems with SU on my laptop. at first i wondered if it was because of my windows vista. the thing is that when i start a line or a rec the line won't attatch to the end of the pencil. in general, the point of the cursor is never the real place that the click goes. can someone help me please????? one more thing, my model is always wireframed no matter what i do. help me!!!!!!!!!!!
