RE: Building Extension
Thanks guys.
Just a quick question. What do you mean "turn them transparent at first then take them away completely"?
Can you expand on this method please, thank you.

RE: Building Extension
Hi, yes i know how to hide it, but should i just make one of the walls that i need to remove as a group and then use the section pane to remove it?

Building Extension
Hello,
I am working on creating a model for a building extension.
I want to build a model of the current building as it stands now, and then i want to show the work / phases involved in the extension, using construction sequence animation.
In order to extend the building, the builders will have to knock a few walls and make various other adjustments before they can start extending the building.
I can't get my head around how i should handle the demolition / knocking of the walls in the construction sequence animation.
As i mentioned above, i need to build a model of how the current building stands now, then the construction sequence needs to show various walls being removed, before i start building the actual extension.
Any advice on this would be greatly welcomed, thank you.

RE: Is This Quality Possible?
Thanks again for the help guys, much appreciated.
SU should really but an Anti Liasing setting on the Mac version, so users don't have to hack at it in the Ruby Console.

RE: Is This Quality Possible?
Hello guys, thanks for all the input... excellent forum.
I have played with the Style settings and it looks much better now, thank you.
I have a few questions:
a - what would be the downside of having end points turned down to 1
b - what would be the downside of having profiles turned down to 1
b - what would be the downside of having extensions turned down to 0
c - does anyone know how to change the Anti-Aliasing settings on a macCheers

RE: Is This Quality Possible?
I think i'll need to start looking in Styles very soon.
Here is how my model currently looks and EVERY single line is extremely rough when i zoom out.

RE: Is This Quality Possible?
Thank you Dave.
Is it possible to 'turn up' the quality in SketchUp so that is is better than normal.
I feel that everything looks like it has been drawn in Microsoft paint
I understand that you can apply textures etc, but is it possible to turn the quality up at the end, before you export it?

Hello Pilou, thank you for the information.
Can you elaborate please What do you mean 'renderers' and 'someone don't support animation'?

Is This Quality Possible?
Hello, i have been playing with SketchUp for the last few months.
I've been following a lot of tutorials on YouTube.
One thing that i noticed is that the quality of the actual model output and animation tends to be very low.
I read somewhere that you can turn the quality up but it greatly slows down the process and makes you files much larger.
Is it possible to turn this quality on at the end, or does it need to be turned on for each object when you are creating / drawing it?
Is it possible to create a smooth animation with smooth edges, similar to this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTlwsu0kVoA
