Thanks for the reply Gaieus + agrazdi.
It must be a bug with LO for MAC.
I think my workflow was good (tried both highlighting text and selecting the text box separately) without result. I had a crash today requiring reboot, and then all of a sudden it works, following the exact workflow...
Odd, but relieved it works now!
Thanks again.

Trouble changing text color in LayOut
Greetings all-
This should be so obvious, but I've searched and searched and cannot
figure out how to simply change the color of text created with the
text tool in LO.
This task is so intuitive in all the other graphics programs I use.
What am I missing??I've tried toggling the color button in the "fonts" dialog box - with text selected -
it fills the text box or colors the stroke, but not the text.I'm on MAC using SU/LO 7...
Help!
Thanks in advance.

RE: Trouble installing soap-skin-bubble ruby on SU pro for MAC
Hi_thanks for the reply.
I tried putting the folder in tools...no luck with mac.
That said- I think I figured it out.
I removed the top level rb folder and dumped its' contents directly into the plugins folder.
It now works!
So happy.Otto

Trouble installing soap-skin-bubble ruby on SU pro for MAC
Greetings - I am running SU 6 (6.4.245)PRO on a macbook pro with OSX 10.4.11 and can't get the soap skin bubble ruby to load.
I followed the directory instructions...but within my "library/application support/google sketchup 6/google" folder, there was no "plugins" folder...so I created one - and some of the ruby scrips show up in SU, while others do not (including soap).
Any advice? This seems like the perfect tool for my problem (creating complex organic seat shell form).
Thanks!
Otto
