Well i know my way around Sketchup, but i dont know anything about the creation of the software and the complications that are involved in improving/adding features to it. so ill try out your suggestion and sing its praises if it works.

but again, the idea simply stemed from a minor inconvenience [at most] i encounter every now and then with sketchup and id assumed it was a nice thing for ,not just me bust a few more people, to have if i could have been implemented natively in sketchup.

Yes, i just believe it would be quite more fluid to be able to enable/disable the feature with a single keystroke instead of navigating through a menu. the point im trying to make is:

its not about "Knowledge" of a particular medium or UI

its about "Efficiency"
-making a useful feature even the more ready to use than it already is.

the feature is there, indeed, i just believe it would be nice to have it at the tip of your finger when needed. it appeals to the type of Users and Creators who navigate through UIs via 'Hotkeys" in opposition to menus [me being one of them]. That's all i suggest =]

you actually helped me summarize this abit better. could it be possible to quick key that feature to the "rotation" tool. ive been using Trimble for around 4 years between Autodesk and im always finding features that are amazing to use, but just difficult to come across organically.

so id imagine quick keying the 'Glug" function to a single key on the 'rotation' tool, would make things even the easier right?

like the new 'down arrow' new feature in 2016?

Here is a simple yet invaluablefeature. the feature to match orientation from one face to another.
-heres the pitch:
--ever been making an object at an obscure angle before? later down the line you decided to add alittle nic-nac or do-dad to it? so you make the additional item and group/component it then it hits you! 83°Z, 159°Y? or was it 38°Z, 195°Y? its be nice to click a single button in the rotation tool on one face and then another to match the face orientation instantly. this would be amazing and extremely helpful.
